Tïsjelán has grammar with Altaic, Uralic, and Athebaskan aspects (with a syntax very much like that of Japanese), and a phonology consisting of 14 consonants--13 of which have 3 distinct allophones that differ in place of articulation and are almost separate phonemes--and 14 vowels.
