Introduction
Navarrese is a dialect of Spanish. It is spoken in Navarre, Spain.
Navarrese should not be mixed with
- Navarro-Aragonese, a medieval language that was spoken in the in the Ebro valley and that is related to today's Aragonese
- High/Upper Navarrese that are dialects of Basque.
The Verb
Navarrese uses conditional whereas Standard Spanish uses the subjunctive imperfect.
In addition the accent of some strong preterites differs between Navarrese and Standard Spanish:
