More information:

Finnish Kalo is a language of the Romani language family spoken by Finnish Kale. The language is not inherently intelligible with Scandoromani or Angloromani. The speakers of the language originally came from Scotland. The language is spoken in Finland and Sweden.

The vocabulary of Finnish Kalo shows traces of the migration from India to Finland, through the whole of Europe. The language contains 23% of original Sanskrit-based words, 23% Swedish loanwords, 10% of Finnish loans, and the rest consists of other languages, such as German, Danish, Romanian, Greek, and Hungarian.

When arriving in Finland ~450 years ago, the romani most likely knew Swedish. The around 500 word stems of Swedish origin most likely helped to keep the language alive in Finland, as the only Nordic country. because on Finnish-speaking areas the Swedish loanwords were equally well suited as a secret language as more trditional Romani words.
